About

David Pándy-Szekeres is serving with the Reformed Church of Sub-Carpathian Ukraine (RCCU) a church of ethnic Hungarians in Ukraine.  He is currently the Supervisor of Missions, General Director of Schools and Public Relations Officer for the RCCU.  David helps to post and supervise RCCU missionaries serving communities in Ukraine and he coordinates four Christian secondary schools that serve Hungarian students living in Ukraine.

With a recent government change David is working to secure funding for the RCCU schools,  while also working on the construction of two new school buildings.  He supervises Ferenc Homoki and his wife Dianna as they minister to the Roma community in the Ukraine through worship services, Bible study and tutoring children.  He is involved with extending rights to minority groups in Ukraine in education and language.

David works with the Terra Dei Foundation as it works to help develop agricultural practices in the region.  The foundation houses a model farm which opens up educational opportunities to local farmers and students, helping them learn new skills and techniques to increase their production of fruit and vegetables.

Since the late 70’s, his works has focused on the oppressed Hungarians, in Romania, supplying food, medications, communications and moral support to those in need. In April 2000, David was appointed as a missionary of the Presbyterian Church in Canada serving with the Hungarian Reformed Church of the sub-Carpathian Ukraine.

David is married to Anna Szabó. They have three children: Aron, Daniel and Juliana.

Through your gifts, Presbyterians Sharing supports David’s work in the Ukraine.
