Fall Mission Conference

Glenbrook’s Mission and Outreach team is planning what is sure to be an exciting and inspirational mission conference for October 22nd to 24th. The conference will feature Dr. Anne-Marie Zajdlik as our guest speaker at Saturday’s International Dinner.  Dr. Zajdlik is the Founder and Director of “Bracelet of Hope”.

Dr. Zajdlik is a mom, a family doctor and an HIV physician in Guelph, Ontario.  In 2005 she founded and now directs the Masai Centre for Local, Regional and Global Health in response to the growing numbers of HIV/AIDS patients in the Guelph area.

In 2005 Anne-Marie launched “The Bracelet of Hope” campaign with a goal of raising $1 million in Guelph for the fight against the AIDS pandemic in sub-Saharan Africa.  With the help of over 100 volunteers, that goal was reached in October 2008.  Anne-Marie’s dream now is to take the campaign national across Canada with the ultimate goal of freeing Lesotho in southern Arica from the death grip of HIV/AIDS.

Hear her tell this story in her own words and you are sure to be changed from “hopeful” to “hope-filled”.

On Mission Sunday our guest speaker will be Matthew P. John, Associate Pastor of Bayview Glen Alliance Church in Toronto and author of “The God Solution” to be published this summer.  He has also developed a workshop series called: “Faith Seeking Understanding.”
