This September 2011, we are proud to unveil two brand new curriculums in both the Kids for Christ (KFC) and Junior Youth programs. In KFC, the children will be using the “Spark: Activate Faith” curriculum published by Augsburg Fortress. A central piece of this curriculum are some brand new “Storybook Bibles” we have purchased for the children to use. By opening and exploring these Bibles each week we hope to begin to develop the lifelong habit of looking to the Bible daily to converse with God and for wisdom as to how to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him. Each student will also explore the lesson with the help of an activity “leaflet” most of which will be completed in class. These will go home at the end of each lesson and there will be one portion that parents can help their children complete at home as a way of continuing the learning and discussion. Each lesson will also provide opportunities for music, crafts, drama and more (although not all may be covered in each lesson).
