| MacDONALD, Edward Scott (Scotty) – Of Puslinch, passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Sunday, April 29, 2012, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of 52 years to Jessie Elizabeth (Betty). Loved father of Hugh(Janice). Proud grandfather of Amy, Scott and Brandon. Predeceased by a son John, sisters Edith and Donalda and brothers Jack, Jim and Phil. Survived by several nieces and nephews. (April 19, 1932 – April 3, 2012)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on Tuesday April 3, 2012, in his 80th year at home in the care of his family. Beloved husband of Joyce Morrison for 48 years, loving father of Jackie Clemens and her husband Gord of Cambridge, Theresa Tennant-Bucht and her husband Robert of Wyevale, Carol Walter and her husband John of Midland. Dearly missed by his grandchildren Janet (Aaron), Jennifer (Andy), Ashley (Sean), Becky (Charlie), Natalie, Eric, Jimmy and Jake as well as his great grandchildren Kelsey, Samantha, Jordon, Cameron, Mikayla, Braydon, Matthew and Gracie. He joins his baby sister Kathleen and his brother Stewart (April 15, 2011) and will be missed by his sister Audrey Beckman (Don) and sister-in-law Shirley. Jim was born April 19, 1932 in Beverly Township, Puslinch to the late Millie and John Tennant. He worked as a metal fabricator at Sheldon’s Engineering, Galt and was a licensed mechanic at High Park Texaco, Galt. He then ventured into his own business as an Auto Body mechanic, owningTennant Auto Body until 1974. Always loving Georgian Bay where the family cottaged for years, Jim relocated his family to the area. He started a construction business that eventually led to his career at Tim Horton’s as a construction supervisor and a franchise owner in the Midland area. Friends may call at the Nicholls Funeral Home Cremation Centre, 330 Midland Ave, Midland. Monday April 9th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Wyevale Cemetery. BURROWS, Bryce Cyrus – Of Guelph, formerly of Puslinch, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, in his 84th year. Beloved husband and best friend of 58 years to Anna Ann (nee Tweedle). Loved father of Peggy and Tony Gallella, Mark and Sarah Burrows, Jane Perry, Brenda and Mark Rabb, and Beth and Dave Van Vliet. Grandaddy to Laura, Natalie, Ross, Bryce, Christian, Thomas, Evan, Aaron, Grace and Logan. Bryce was very proud of his children’s achievements and their families. Bryce spent his working life initially with Leyland Electric and afterwards at the Grounds Department at the University of Guelph, rising to foreman at his retirement. He was actively involved in Knox Church, Crieff for most of his life and was a long time member of Mystic Tie 279 of the Masonic Lodge. He will be fondly remembered by his family, extended family and friends for his wit and humour. Peacefully on Wednesday, January 25th, 2012, with family by her side, at Hamilton General Hospital, in her 95th year. Velma loving wife of the late Bert. Beloved mom of Jane and her husband Ken Strachan, Nancy Ruth and her husband Scovil Fisher, Stephen and his wife Francis, Peggy and her husband Marty Kirby. Dear mother-in-law of John Johnston. Loving grandma of Drew, George, Kevin, Michelle, Anne, Mike, Jennifer, Jeff, Jackie, Pete and Dave. Great-grandma of seven. Predeceased by her daughter Mary Wolf Johnston.
Friends will be received at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Burgoyne, on Friday, January 27th, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Chuck Moon officiating.
