Labour Day Sunday Memorial Service
A few years ago one of our members had the idea to put our 9 over 9 windows to good use. What she suggested was that people could purchase sun catchers and dedicate them in memory of loved ones. At the back of the church plaques have been mounted identifying the person to whom the sun catcher has been dedicated. A book is also kept in the narthex containing short histories of the life of each person. Pictures of our windows can be found in our Photo Gallery.
Each Labour Day Sunday the church holds a special Memorial Service and all sun catchers placed in the past year are dedicated and all loved ones are remembered.
September
At the end of September we have a musical service with the Montreal gospel group Aeternal in attendance. They are a widely popular Christian music band who plays contemporary Christian music. More information can be found by following the link: Aeternal
Prior to the service the members of Mille Isles church serve a soup and sandwich lunch in the community hall which is across the street from the church.
This event is always very well attended by people from the surrounding community.
