It is always hard for me to believe that I have been in Kenya interacting with the Presbyterian Church of East Africa since 1994. Professionally and personally it has been, and continues to be, a rewarding experience.

2009 was a busy year. My work with the Presbyterian Church of East Africa [PCEA] continued to focus on HIV and AIDS as well as teaching in the Presbyterian University of East Africa [PUEA].

The problem of HIV and AIDS continues to be a serious problem in Africa with health and socio-economic consequences that affect the individual, the family, the community and the country. Kenya has been one of the few countries in Africa to actually see a fall in the percentage of people infected with HIV.
