Dear Friends
It is my prayer that as you enjoy the summer days of 2010, that God is drawing you closer and closer to know Him and to serve Him. At St. Andrew’s this summer on Sunday mornings, we are using the lectionary readings to be our focus. These familiar passages of scripture, such as the Parable of the Good Samaritan, and the story of the sisters Mary and Martha challenge us along our faith journeys.
A Sundays in the Summer Program is offered for the children during worship, with music, crafts, Bible stories and games.
The Session are pleased to announce that in partnership with Arnprior,McNab-Braeside Seniors At Home, will provide transportation for Seniors on Sundays to and from church. Folks wishing to use the transportation service are asked to phone the Seniors at Home Office, at 613-623-7981 to book a ride by Friday afternoon. If you need to cancel, to phone and leave a message at Seniors at Home by 9 a.m. Sunday morning. Costs are being covered by the church.
Throughout the summer, we are pleased to have supply ministers.
Sunday July 25, Mr. John Shane, August 1st, Rev. Larry Mack,
August 8th, Mr Dave McFarlane, and August 29th, Rev. Grace Vaters.
On Sunday evening, at 7 p.m. August 15th, Rev. Milton Fraser, will be leading worship at the Lake Dore Presbyterian Church. It is a congregation that opens for the summer and offers a wonderful seasonal ministry.
Once again, this summer, the Community Living Summer Program is using our church hall for their activities, and home base during the week. We are pleased to see the building being used by the community.
We hope to see you at St. Andrew’s this summer. Remember our congregation in your prayers, asking the Lord to use us in mighty ways.
Blessings
Rev. Milton Fraser
