Dear Friends:

The month of September in many ways is like the beginning of a new year, in the life of the congregation.

Sunday School begins again after a summer break. This year, the Sunday School Teachers are looking forward to working with a new curriculum with St. Andrew’s children and youth. It is called Rock Solid. Classes will begin using the material Sunday September 5th. During worship on Sunday September 12th, we will have a blessing for the teachers and students. The Sunday School will host a Hot Dog Lunch on Sunday September 19th, in support of their mission projects.

We start afresh with our worship services, and the Choir resume their practices. This Sunday, we will consider Jesus’ invitation to follow and to count the cost. The text is Luke 14: 25-33. The following Sunday, September 12 we begin a three week series, “A Trinity of Relationships”.

On Sunday September 12th following worship, there will be “A Fall Fair of Opportunities” with refreshments, and a chance to consider some of the programs and opportunities to serve at St. Andrew’s and in the community this fall.

Plans are being made for a Small Group Bible Study on the Gospel of Mark.

Cheryl Mielke our Music Director, is looking interested persons to participate in a Christmas Musical Drama. It is entitled “Four Tickets to Christmas”. There will be lots of opportunities to use an array of gifts and talents of the congregation in the production.

The Community Lunches will resume in October!

I am praying that as we begin a new season at St. Andrew’s, that God will bless us, and draw us close in relationship with God, and will use us in mighty ways as we serve in Jesus’ name.

Blessings,

Rev. Milton A Fraser
