Small Groups
Study Series – A number of Study Series have been offered at St. Andrew’s over the years, including The Purpose Driven Life, Alpha Series, Just walk across the Room, Unbinding the Gospel, A Study on the Letter of James, the Gospel of Mark. Most recently Robert Jones is offering leadership to a study on the letter to the Philippians.
Women’s Missionary Society – The WMS group meets each month at 82 Daniel St. N. (The Manse). The group studies and supports the mission work of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, at home and around the world. Contact: Isabel Scobie or the Church Office for meeting date/time
Care and Share Group – The group provides food to be shared with folks who are going through tough times, or perhaps in the midst of a celebration. Fran Acres is co-ordinating this ministry.
Helping Hands – A group of women meet bi-weekly on Mondays, to share lunch, to work on craft projects that are shared with local hospitals, and nursing homes.
Community Luncheon - A meal is served each month to anyone in the community in need of food or company. The luncheons have proved to be a much appreciated ministry in the community, and those who serve find it a joyful way to serve others.
The Choir – meets each Wednesday evening to prepare music for worship each Sunday. The practices are at 7 p.m. If you have a musical talent to share, either vocally or instrumentally, we invite you to check out the calendar for practice times.
Prayer Time - A Small Group of folks will meet to pray on Thursdays at 9 a.m. to sit in stillness of our church sanctuary, to share requests and to pray for the work of the church . God’s house will be a house of prayer. During the fall of 2011, the group has used a resource, The Workbook of Living Prayer, by Maxie Dunnam.
St. Andrew’s Youth – A group for youth Grades 4 and up meet for fun, discussion, and friendship on a monthly basis.
