Brief Church History
When St.Cuthbert’s Presbyterian voted to enter into the United Church in 1925, a group of members opted to remain Presbyterian. This marked the humble beginning of Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian church. The small congregation worshiped in the local school for a couple of years until before the present building was constructed in 1927.
Since then, the surrounding community of Saint Lambert has become predominantly french speaking. We continue to worship in English, although some elements of the service are sometimes performed in French as we recognize the increasing number of worshipers who are fluent in French. We serve an ethnically diverse population across the South Shore of Montreal.
