The Saint Andrew’s homes foundation project for a new seniors housing residence was approved by the city council at the meeting on August 16th. The site of the residence will be on the current Lutheran church property. (corner of Victoria and Clarke) The building will be four stories high, and will feature a cafeteria which will be in the center of the green roof.

Volunteers needed for supervision and kitchen duties. Also older children and adults would be very welcome as councillors.
Saint Andrew’s Lenten movie series continues with the screening of Gran Turino on Saturday, March 20th and Jesus of Montreal on the following Saturday, March 27th. Showtime is 7:00 PM and the movies will be projected onto the big screen. Admission is free, and there will be refreshments served as well as an opportunity to discuss the movies, specifically the Lenten themes they portray. Don’t miss out!

This year St Andrew’s will be host to the second annual week of prayer for Christian Unity (wpcu) service on the south shore of Montreal. The Service will take place on January 24th, 2010 at 7:00 PM, involving various Christian denominations and will be conducted in both English and French.
