Children’s Church
Children are encouraged to worship with their parents. There is a Mom’s Room where parents can see and hear the service if their babies become fussy. About halfway through each Sunday morning service, the minister spends a few minutes with the children, and then they are dismissed to classes for all ages.
Kids Club
A midweek program for children from Kindergarten to Grade 7. It meets on Tuesdays during the school year from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. We use Pioneer Clubs curriculum.
Bible Study Groups
We encourage our people to learn and grow together as disciples of our Lord by being involved in a small group, for fellowship, Bible Study, prayer and service. At present, four such groups are meeting:
- Tuesday 7:00 p.m. – Revelation Bible Study in Fireside Room.
- Wednesday 9:30 a.m. – “Agape” Bible Study at Val Saunder’s home.
- Wednesday 7:30 p.m. – Farsi Bible Study and English Lessons.
- Thursday 1:30 p.m. – Bible study at Jean Mitchell’s.
- Thursday 7:30 p.m. – Men’s Bible Study in Fireside Room (seasonal).
Ladies’ Group
Acts as the congregational hostess, planning fellowship hours after the morning service once a month, and catering refreshments for special events, such as milestone birthday and anniversary celebrations, as well as funerals and memorial services. They also provide a monthly tea at the hospital’s Extended Care Unit on the first Monday afternoon of the month. The ladies usually meet on the second Monday morning of the month.
Men’s Club
Supports children’s ministry in the church by putting on a pancake breakfast on the second Saturday morning of each month. Proceeds provide registration fees for Kids Club, an annual skating party and hotdog lunch during the Christmas holidays, and lunch for the Vacation Bible School closing program. Other projects have included providing a wireless microphone for the sanctuary and a basketball hoop for the parking lot. The men meet for their monthly “Muffin Break” devotional and business meeting, usually on the fourth Saturday morning of the month.
Coffee Outreach Ministry
As a community outreach Garry Adams invites passersby to drop in for “Coffee by Donation” in the narthex weekday mornings, seasonally as posted, from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Vacation Bible School
A week-long summer program for children who will be going into Kindergarten to Grade 7, usually held in July each year.
