Dear Friends,
A successful and meaningful 170th-anniversary service was held at Ballyduff Presbyterian Church on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Barney Grace as the guest speaker. Various divine blessings continued to enrich the anniversary service through Rev. Grace’s inspirational and informative sermon, complemented by contributions from two young scripture readers. Many individuals connected to Manvers Township (Ballyduff) came together to celebrate this significant milestone in the presence of the Lord.
The Ballyduff congregation expressed gratitude for the support received from the Presbytery of Lindsay and Peterborough. The presence of Rev. Debora Rolls, the outgoing moderator, along with Susan Wallace, the previous moderator, Rev. Ron Wallace, and Linda Grace was greatly appreciated. Following the service, a fellowship took place in the Old Schoolhouse located close to the church, providing a wonderful time for reunion resonating with plenty of goodies and desserts.
On behalf of the Ballyduff Session, I extend thanks to God, who has been with the congregation since 1853, enabling us to “maintain our present facility for worship, preaching the Word, and community involvement, so that we can continue to serve Ballyduff and surrounding areas, welcoming families of the area, present and future.” Additionally, on behalf of the Ballyduff Church, I express gratitude to all those who prayed and participated in this sacred assembly.
