Deep Sadness

Members of the St. George Presbyterian Kirk and the Charlotte County Pastoral Charge extend our sympathy to the Family of our friend Harvey Dougherty who passed away on May 12th, 2021. Harvey was a quiet, gentle man that will be missed by so many. Our thoughts and prayers are with his Family.

Retirement

The Reverend Cheryl MacFadyen has announced her retirement with her departing worship service on Sunday May 30th, 2021.
We want to express our deep appreciation for Rev. MacFadyen’s many years of teaching and leadership in Ministry to our congregations.
Due to her years of hard work and dedication the Charlotte County Pastoral Charge is better equipped to meet future challenges.
We wish Rev. Cheryl and Ken MacFadyen a happy, peaceful retirement in this well-deserved next chapter of their lives.

“Fifth Sunday” May 30th, 2021

Since May 30th will be a fifth Sunday for this month, there will only be one combined service for the entire Pastoral Charge. The combined service will be held at Greenock Presbyterian Church in St. Andrews at 11:15 am.

This service will be The Reverend Cheryl MacFadyen’s final worship service to our congregations before her retirement.

This service will also be a Communion service. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, please bring your own elements of bread and juice to this service.

Sincere Sympathy

Good afternoon,
Our Church community as well as long-time friends and neighbours of Vance Craig are saddened today to learn of his passing last night around 11 pm (March 1, 2021).
At this time we extend our sincere sympathy to Mary Anne, his children and his extended family.
There will be a Memorial service planned for a later date.
Prayers and Blessings…
…Alberta Cooke, Clerk of Session.

Sincere Condolences

The sympathy of those of us in the Charlotte County Pastoral charge is
extended to the family of Carola MacDonald who passed away on the
afternoon of Monday, February 8th. Carola was originally from Cape
Breton, but for many years had resided in New Brunswick. She was a kind
person and a good friend to many, and she will be missed. Our prayers
are with the members of her family at this time.
