December News:

From the Minister

I’d like to begin by thanking everyone connected with the congregation – those who we see each week, those who work behind the scenes, those who are supporting Jubilee in this trying time through regularly worshipping with us online and those who work and serve on various committees.

The years of 2020-22 have been a challenging time for the world and the church has not been immune.  As we try to resume life in this ever-changed world, there are new challenges that await us.  The church has certainly seen a decline in attendance as we ride out what hopefully are the final reverberations of the transition from pandemic to the endemic phase of Covid-19.

Despite the challenge of rebuilding the church that lies ahead of us, let me share with you some of the things that have been accomplished for the kingdom in Stayner this past year.  The church was able to fulfill its mission commitment to the “Out of the Cold” program in Collingwood with a donation of $6,000.

A new and exciting ministry began in September with a “Coffee Party” designed to engage the community and provide an opportunity for fellowship.  This ministry saw continued growth and new people from its inception.   Jubilee has been able to support the community throughout the year by providing space for a Tai Chi group, the Friendship Euchre Club, Little Kickers Soccer and our own Children’s Choir lead by Jenny.
