About

Knox Harrington is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, and has been part of the Harrington community since 1857.

Our congregation shares the love of Christ in compassionate and welcoming ways with one another and into the wider community.  We have an active Sunday School; a lively Women’s Missionary       Society group; and a great worshiping community.

Our Ministry Team:

Rev. Joyce DeGier VanderSpek – Interim Minister

Rev.  Bob Hamilton MusBac, BEd, ARCT – Church Musician

Bob is a graduate of the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto and  received his ARCT accreditation in piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music. From a young age, Bob learned to play the piano by sight and by ear. He is also proficient in playing guitar, organ and violin. During his working career, he was employed by the Toronto District School Board as a music teacher inspiring many students in their aspiration to learn a musical instrument and play with others in ensembles or in the school orchestra which he conducted. Bob is also a gifted composer and music arranger having recorded several CDs of Inspirational Christian music.

Bob is an integral member of the worship team at Knox as each Sunday he accompanies the worship music allowing participants to raise their voices in praise to God and experience the presence of the Lord in a deeply meaningful way. His ability to empower others to sing or play their instrument as an enhancement to worship is a gift to our congregation.

Bob  resides in Mississauga, Ontario. He is often being asked to provide music ministry or preach at Christian conferences, churches or Christian camps across Canada, US or Internationally. He is an ordained minister (Open Door Evangelistic Church Incorporated-ODEC) and in his spare time enjoys travel, swimming, visiting family and friends and creating in the kitchen!
