Knox Groups

Please find below descriptions and links to the Knox groups and what they are engaged in. If you wish to join, please contact the office at [email protected] or sign up on the appropriate sheet at the back of the sanctuary.

Choir – Wednesday evenings @ 7:00 p.m. Weekly rehearsal in the sanctuary with warm ups Sunday mornings at 09:45 a.m. New members are welcome. Please contact Suzanne Strahan for more information.

Classic Cars / Race Cars Group – is a group organized by John Waldie and will meet for events as they are organized. The tour planned for Sunday November 24 was postponed and will be rescheduled. If you have any questions, please contact John.

God’s Inspiration in Nature – Photo Page – the final posts for this page for this calendar year will be for the week of 2024-11-03. Thank you to all those who provided images for this page.

Handcrafters Group  – This group meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 10:30 am. until noon in the all purpose room. You are invited to bring your handcrafting projects to work on while we enjoy fellowship. If you knit, crochet, needlepoint, quilt, do embroidery or any other craft we would love to have you join us. If you would learn a craft, you are invited and someone will help you. If you are not a crafter you are welcome to come to just enjoy the fellowship. The group will reconvene on September 3 at 10:30. If you have questions, contact Shirley Weitzel.

Life Study Group – This will be a Bible Study Group focusing on sermon & scriptures. The group will meet every Thursday at 10 a.m. in the all purpose room. Members check in with each other. Any requests for prayer are noted. The minister prays for these needs. The Scripture is read from the previous Sunday. The minister comments on the sermon and its relation to the Scripture. Any questions or views are engaged in an open discussion. The session always ends at 11.a.m.  Membership is now open up to 15. Please contact the church office for more information.

Outdoor Activities Group – this group has been organized by Tom Hislop. Activities such as hikes or bike rides will be arranged with no formal schedule at this point. Stay tuned for more updates.

Acts of Kindness Group – This group will start in September and meet once a month. The group will engage in creative acts of kindness – potentially  individual and group acts. Membership will start with an initial group size of up to 7. More participants will be accommodated in a second group. The group is currently in initial stages of planning.

Random Acts of Music Group – currently an informal group that provides music on random Sunday mornings as the Spirit moves us.
