For the month of December we are focusing our outreach on seniors living in long term care homes. Many of these folk live lonely lives as they have little or no family nearby, nor many friends. We want to brighten their Christmas by sending them Christmas cards. We are asking that you bring signed Christmas cards to the Knox mailbox on the table in the Narthex. You might want to put in a brief note and sign the card with your name and add “from Knox Church”. An example card is attached to the bulletin board. Do not put a name on the front of the envelope. We will collect cards until Sunday December 18th.If you have extra Christmas cards that you might have from organizations and would like to donate them to be used in this outreach, you can leave them in the basket labelled extra cards. Feel free to take cards from this basket and prepare them to be sent. No postage needed as we will deliver them. Let’s fill the mailbox and brighten Christmas for seniors!
