Outreach 2024

November

As the need for food is great in Stratford, we will continue a food drive in November. The focus will be Meals for a Day with donations benefiting Shelterlink and the Community Food Shelf at Avondale United Church.
You are invited to bring on:
November 3rd – food items for breakfast (cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix, peanut butter, jam, etc.)
November 10th – food items for lunch (canned fish – tuna, salmon; canned meat – chicken, ham, crackers, soup, peanut butter, Kraft Dinner, etc.)
November 17th – food items for dinner (canned foods – stew, chili, vegetables, fruit, pasta; spaghetti sauce, macaroni, spaghetti, etc.)
November 24th – food items for snacks (cookies, fruit cups, pudding, etc.)
and place them in the bins in the narthex.
Please consider supporting this much needed outreach for our community.

October

The focus for October will be A FOOD DRIVE for the House of Blessing and the Emily Murphy Centre. Donations can be placed in the baskets in the Narthex. These are a few of the most needed items:
healthy school snacks, peanut butter, canned veggies and fruit, canned soups and stews, pasta and sauce, rice side dishes (Kraft dinner, sidekicks, instant potatoes).

Update – Thank you to everyone who supported the October food drive. All donations will be delivered to the House of Blessing and the Emily Murphy Centre.

“The Sandwich Project” – Knox continues to make sandwiches twice a month for the Connection Centre. There is a cost for the supplies to make the sandwiches. in the Narthex. They can be placed on the offering plate. Thank you!

Update! – To date we have received $250.00 for this project. As this is an ongoing project, donations are gladly received at any time.
