  1. Laurel,
It struck me, after I had recorded the sermon, how often time fits in with the story of creation! The rhythm of the 7-day week is the Big One. But God also hallowed the individual days and nights “And there was evening and morning, the first day”, etc. It reminds me of Ecclesiastes. There is a time for everything. Daytime for holy labour and evening for holy rest. Then there’s the seasons. Winter for winter labour, summer for summer labour, etc. With climate change, the seasons are less distinct and I wonder what effect that will have on us? I, for one, find it quite disorienting to have a winter with no snow and cold. It hints at chaos! Thank you for your comments.

  2. When you were saying about how we go out into the world as icons of God. Into our workplaces, families, neighbours etc. It made me think of a question Prince Philip would ask. Of course heard this with all the coverage of his funeral. But he would ask “how do you spend your time?” Would we be able to answer this to God? Good sermon especially tying in creation with behaviour!
