Welcome to the website of the Ontario Presbyterian Chorus

It is with regret and sadness to announce that the Ontario Presbyterian Chorus has decided to disband after 50 years of music ministry effective June 4, 2022.  We wish to express our appreciation for the congregations who have supported us over the years with invitations to spread the gospel to their communities. May God continue  to bless you in all that you do.

Due to Covid-19, we are not accepting any engagements at this time.  Once it is safe to do so, we would love to share our ministry of music at a special anniversary, or for an evening of special music.   The chorus undertakes a regular concert schedule, September to May throughout the year. For further information, please select the “Contact” link to get in touch with either Alastair McCallum, director or Katherine Allen, Secretary.

We look forward to serving you through our ministry of praising God through song.

Members of the Ontario Presbyterian Chorus comprises of singers drawn from the Toronto area and from several communities throughout Southern Ontario, and is interdenominational in composition. While Presbyterian in its origins, the chorus now has some six other denominations represented in its membership.  Members come mainly from Toronto, Georgian Bay area, Bala, Bobcaygeon, Belleville, and Colborne.

We are a ‘non-auditioning’ Chorus that presents the gospel message through singing the Psalms, traditional gospel songs, and other music portraying our Christian faith.

We are always delighted to receive new choir members. We rehearse on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m., September through May at Armour Heights Presbyterian Church, 105 Wilson Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.

If you enjoy singing we invite you to consider sharing with us in this mission and ministry by becoming a member of the Ontario Presbyterian Chorus or attend a concert of praise near you.

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord all the earth, break forth into joyous song and sing praises” (Psalm 98:4 NRSV)
