Over a hundred family and friends gathered to celebrate Alan Maclean’s tireless service to St. John’s, Kingston, Ont., on the occasion of his retirement as an elder. Over the years Maclean has served on numerous committees (he is a Presbyterian after all) and been the driving force behind many construction, maintenance and beautification projects at the church and manse. A dinner to recognize him was held last August.
