The congregation of St. Timothy’s, Ajax, Ont., were treated to an Easter Drama, as various participants enacted the service from the March/April 2007 Glad Tidings, Out of the Ordinary. The drama was presented Easter Sunday in place of the sermon. Participants donned simple costumes to portray characters from the scriptures. The author of the drama, L. June Stevenson, is a member of, and elder at St. Timothy’s.
1: The entire cast assembled at the end of the drama, apart from the minister, Dennis Cook, who, as Judas, exited to the back of the sanctuary.
2: Pharisee, played by David Learoyd, Pilate (centre), portrayed by Les Deering, with Centurion portrayed by Norm Terry at St. Timothy’s, Ajax, Ontario.
3: Women from the Bible played left to right by Ruth Wright (Salome), Karen Hamilton (Martha) and Judy Ste Marie (Mary, sister of Martha).
