Niagara Presbyterial of the Women’s Missionary Society

11-01

In lieu of the usual Spring Rally, the Niagara Presbyterial of the Women’s Missionary Society rented a 55 seat bus and headed to the Presbyterian Museum in Toronto. Forty-one women and 14 men represented 13 congregations.

We first stopped at St. John’s Church, where we were greeted by Dr. John Johnston, curator of the museum, and three docents. Half of us participated in an old fashioned communion service, while the other half toured the museum, which is filled with a wealth of material.

Rev. Morag MacDonald and members of the St. John’s congregation provided us an excellent lunch. The funds raised from this catering effort went towards the St. John’s Youth Group project to fund wells in Africa.

The second stop on our trip was Evangel Hall.
