Service station of the church

The September news item More Staff Shuffled at 50 Wynford, twice uses the term “head office” as referring to 50 Wynford. That is not correct.
In the Presbyterian Church, authority rests in the courts of the church. Any authority which boards, committees, agencies and others in the church offices have is given by and subject to the courts of the church, specifically to the General Assembly.
Fifty Wynford is the location of the national offices of the church, but it is not in any way the head office. I like to think of 50 Wynford as the service station of our church, existing to serve the courts and congregations of our church.
