The Youth Group of Amberlea Presbyterian Church, Pickering, Ontario raised $400.00 at a White Elephant Sale that they ran at our church bazaar in November, 2007. The teens decided that the proceeds from their sale would be used towards the following mission projects: 1. purchase $100.00 of non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army Food Bank (photo attached of what they bought) 2. $100.00 to The Nature Conservancy of Canada to be used to purchase environmentally sensitive land and help protect endangered plant and animal species and, 3. $200.00 to World Vision to purchase two goats for a needy family in a third world country.
