Dr. McLelland is supporting the watering down of our mission. He tends to stray from the path of our faith onto worldy concerns instead of godly ones. Too much attention is paid to historical injustices and erroneous thinking as well as long held traditions which confuse the real issue.
Christians are to see the world as Jesus taught us—believers and nonbelievers. He said to go into all the world and proclaim the truth of His kingdom. Yes, we can listen too but it is we who have the truth to proclaim. If they “resist our witness” then we are to shake the dust off our feet and move on. We have the light of God in us—the light of God is centered around Jesus and that fact is not negotiable.
