Camp Kintail Chapel Decommissioned

Kintail campers, old and new, joined together on Aug. 3 to say farewell to a lakeside chapel that has served the PCC-owned camp for 80 years.

The land under the rough benches and cross has been disputed for decades, but was found to belong to property owned by neighbouring cottagers. The family asked that it no longer be used for camp activities.

“We’ll start new memories with a new generation of campers,” said Rev. Theresa McDonald-Lee, camp director. Construction of a new, larger chapel is planned for next spring.
