Stratford Amalgamation

The amalgamation process undertaken by St. Andrew’s and Knox was sincere and many people worked hard to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion. Surely it would be advantageous for the national church to examine the process in Stratford and to report on what worked and what didn’t. Doubtless other congregations will find themselves in similar situations and it would be advantageous for them to have the benefit of our experience.

I would like to point out that not all of those remaining at Knox voted against amalgamation. Also, not everyone who voted against amalgamation did so because of the building.
