May 13: Mountain Climbing

The climb began at 6 a.m. on May 12. It took over six hours to reach the CCAP cottage on one of Mount Mulanje’s most popular plateaus. And on the morning of May 13, despite taking a faster (and much steeper) route, it took over four hours to get back down again. But the vistas alone were worth it.

Mount Mulanje, also known as the Mulanje Massif, covers over 22 square kilometres and rises to over 3,000 metres at its highest point.
