PAW, Union, Albert Bridge, NS

About one hundred ruling elders, lay leaders and ministers gathered at Union Prebyterian Church in Albert Bridge (traditionally known as Mira Ferry) for the Elders’ Institute Pre-Assembly Workshops (PAW) on June 5th. The Altantic Mission Society contributed to the event’s theme of hospitality ministry, “100,000 welcomes” by providing hand-made pew cushions with “paw” prints on them for each par, ticipant sitting in the 156 year-old hard wood pews. The 131st General Assembly mandated the Elders’ Institute, a ministry of St. Andrew’s Hall for ruling elders, to organize this annual day-long event of worship, workshops and fellowship on the Saturday before General Assembly. Next year’s PAW will be held at Oakridge Presbyterian Church, London and feature workshops and worship on Intercultural Ministry.
