St. Andrew’s, North River, N.S.

Where better to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the Scottish Reformation than on Cape Breton, which is where the celebrations were last October. The ubiquitous Rev. Mary Anne Grant (right) conducted worship and Holy Communion at St. Andrew’s. Grant remembered her father, the blessed Rev. Charles A. MacDonald, one of the last fluent Gaelic ministers in Cape Breton. She is seen with her sisters, E. Margaret MacDonald and Dolly Brimicombe. The cake reads, “Celebrating Our Faith.” More photos online.
