A Widow Waits

What will you have me do, Lord
Now that I’m all alone?
I have my health, my books, my car
And the place that I call home.
Long ago I had children here
And a man to warm my bed.
I cooked their meals and cleaned the house
Now memories fill my head.
Can you find me something
To fill these empty places
To take the place of those I loved
How I miss their faces.
I know you have a plan for me
For I can surely feel it
Just give me patience please dear Lord
For your Spirit to reveal it.
