Props for Pop Christianity & Progressive Lectionary

Dear David,

I am a minister of the Presbyterian Church in Canada but currently working with the Crosshill Parish Church in Motherwell Scotland. I have long enjoyed reading the RECORD but even more so just now. The Crosshill Parish in North Lanarkshire is older and established but with a youthful spirit that identifies clearly with what the Church of Scotland calls “the emerging church. We are trying to find new ways to do church as well as to be church. At the same time, the town Motherwell is struggling to find its new identity in a post recession era. To this end, I find the articles of both Andrew Faiz (Pop Christianity) and Laurence Dewolfe (Progressive Lectionary) to be particularly helpful on a very regular basis. Their sense of search and their openness to transformation are especially timely. Please give them my grateful thanks and consider the possibility of doubling their pay for the rest of 2010. They are worth every penny!

Respectfully yours,
