Re Beloved Professor and Writer Passes Away
One day early in his ministry, Sheldon MacKenzie and his ministerial assistant were walking through a tough section of Montreal when two hoods jumped them. Upon discovering their mistake, one said to Sheldon, “Ah, Father Mac. We didn’t know it was you.”
Without batting an eye, Sheldon replied, “An honest mistake. These things happen. How’d you guys like a cup of coffee?”
Well, within a couple of minutes the two hoods, Sheldon and the assistant were in a restaurant and the hands of the latter were shaking so badly he spilled his coffee. But Sheldon didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. For him, it was a chance to witness to the gospel and the opportunity to add two potential members to his congregation. It was all in a day’s work.
