Non-Denomination

The word “do” and church is just one of the many problems in the church of today. Performance, traditions, rituals, the law and presumption have taken the place of intercessory prayer, worship, and being still before the Lord when we are in His presence.

The story of Mary and Martha is a good example of this. Jesus didn’t say there was anything wrong with what Martha was doing, only that Mary had chose the better thing. If only we could be still God just might show up at one of our services and surprise us all. To fix our eyes on Jesus the way Mary did when she was in His presence would change our ideas about doing church completely.

We are human beings not human doings. The church of today have ears but they can not hear and eyes but they can not see what the Spirit of God wants to do among them. The gospel of grace and love is not being preached from the pulpit of today’s church. For the most part, the message being preached from the pulpit fills the listeners ears, minds and hearts with shame and guilt. We have a sense that we must be doing or accomplishing something for God to gain His acceptance. This is not the gospel of grace and love.
