It is the second day of October. And this month for me is about Thanksgiving and giving thanks.
Please join me now in prayer.
My soul magnifies you O God.
My spirit rejoices in you. (Lk.1)
On this first day of October,
we ask you O God
to open our hearts
to an experience of
deep gratitude and
thanksgiving.
You the giver of every good gift,
we cannot thank you enough:
for food and water,
for a place to call home,
and people to love with,
and for life itself.
Is there anything else
that we can ask for
that you have not already given?
Companion us now
as we begin this day
in praise and thanksgiving.
May all of us have a great
and grateful day. Amen.
