Margaret Peck celebrated her 90th birthday on September 6th. She started coming to Haney Presbyterian Church in Maple Ridge in 1986, when she retired from teaching in Bella Bella. She has always been of the Presbyterian faith, and very proud to tell you that. Margaret is part of the Banner Group, she was a member of the HPC Guild, which held dinners, strawberry teas, and bazaars. She often does Bible reading for church services and really enjoys writing poetry for special occasions, which we all have enjoyed.
Margaret loves to garden; she looked after the church garden and watered all the plants, inside and out. Her garden often supplies us with table centrepieces all year round for our “Soup and Sandwich Days.”
Margaret still drives and is a volunteer at Holyrood Retirement Home.
