Tuesday, December 17, 2013 — Morning Reflection

Two prayers by Vince Amlin of Gainesville, Florida. One is the opening prayer in the book “From the Psalms to the Cloud.”

To whom it may concern:
There was a moment today –
the first in years –
when I considered calling on you.
For an instant, it occurred to me
that you might not be
as I had decided you were.
I suddenly wondered if, instead,
you might be the one
whom I most need.
And my heart flash-flooded with hope.
If my suspicions are correct,
maybe we can start to talk again
as we once did. Amen.

This is a prayer that I have memorized to help me always when I am online:

Prayer B4 Posting, Philippians 4:8:
Whatever is untrue,
whatever is unkind,
whatever is unjust,
whatever is not love,
give me the strength, O God,
to delete.
