First, Penetanguishene, Ont.

On October 5th, the congregation of First assembled after worship to break ground on a new building project—the first since the completion of the original structure in 1888. The addition will provide much-needed space for the growing congregation, as well as the ability to better support the growing needs of the local community. Construction is well underway, and the project is scheduled for completion in the Spring of 2015. Pictured are the Rev. Mark Wolfe (leaning on shovel), Clerk of Session Shirley Spearn (to Rev. Mark’s immediate right), and various members of the congregation at First.
