The World Above

This beautiful poem is submitted by Beverly M. Wilcox

When twilight time is nearing

Just before the dark,

I see the stars appearing,

The first a tiny spark.

Soon many worlds so far away

Are gleaming in the night.

A heavenly, radiant display

Of our Eternal’s might!

God set them there For signs for us,

For seasons, days and years.

His handiwork so glorious,

Are earth’s crystal chandeliers.

The starry vastness that I see

Is only but a peek

Into the wonderments that be…

The horizons that I seek.

I thrill to the moon, as lovely now

As the day it was created.

To see it rise o’er a distant brow,

My senses are elated.

Silently, ever on it rolls,

In all it’s different stages.

A grand old guardian on patrol,

Constant through the ages.

It’s a marvelous revelation,

To understand and find –

That all of God’s creation,

Was with you and me in mind!
