Sunday: Failure and Triumph

I give thanks to you Beloved , because you answered me. You have become my salvation. The stone the builders rejected has become the foundation. This divine Builder is your work. And it is marvelous to our eyes. This is the day that you have made, let us be glad and rejoice in it.
—Psalm 118:21-24

Meditation:
The death of Christ was a failure in the eyes of everyone including his followers. But the Divinity raised the Christ of God. The apparent failure became triumph. Sunday is a time we remember Resurrection, the powerful enlivening action of the Divine, breaking into our reality, in order to redeem.

Prayer:
We celebrate with joy, your love and your help, powerful and loving Divinity. Just as you raised Jesus from the dead, raise us from the reality of the world-as-it-is so that we will know the divine reality in the world-as-it-should-be.This we ask of Jesus, the “new human”, the firstborn of the new creation. Amen.
