Saturday: Church Family

And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:49-50

Dear God,
I am so grateful for church family. For those that came long ago and taught generations and generations about God’s love and commandment to love one and other. For those who teach me. For those who I try to share that News with. I thank you for my home church that nurtured me, that fulfilled their vows taken at my baptism. I give you thanks for each congregation I’ve served, each teaching me about you in a unique way. Finally, Lord, I lift up my brothers and sisters in faith around the globe. Those I have never and will never meet, but who are related by Blood through you. Bless each of us, and keep us. Give us all rest tonight, and meaningful days tomorrow. Amen.
