Using an internet clearing house for religious materials, our old dusty 1972 hymnals from the basement of Knox are making their way to Manila to be used by the baptist congregation at the air base in Pasay City, and district of the capital. The Sunday school raised the money for shipping. An elderly member of the congregation who used to sing from the old books years ago helped to pack the box. She has since passed away. And can you believe it, we have direct cargo shipping from Vernon, B.C. to Manila. Who would have thought! We are hoping for a long term relationship in this unexpected way of reaching out, and being good stewards.
