Monday: Where Do You Feel Closest to God?

Where is that place that you feel closest to God? For me it is outside…on the shore…in a garden…”In the Garden” written by C. Austin Miles in 1902…a pharmacist by trade who was reading Mary’s early morning encounter with the Risen Christ as he waited for film to develop.

I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses…And he walks with me, and he talks to me; And he tells me I am his own…

Come into this day knowing that the Risen Christ awaits each of us…He is present with each of us as we go about our day…I share this picture of a special garden in my spiritual journey…please share that space where you feel closest to the Risen Christ.

Risen Christ, Who greeted Mary by name…greet each of us as we rise this morning…be present with us as we go about the tasks before us…be present with those who need healing…be present with those who are preparing to come into their rest with you…be present with those of us gathered at Next…we ask all this in your name…Amen
