Saturday: Light Some Candles

I invite you to make some time, and light some candles. Turn everything else off. Then simply sit. Breathe. Rest. And gather into the unfolding presence.

Let the candle’s glow soften the edges of the sharp, divisive lines of the day. Let them be smudged by the Artist’s gentle touch, trusting the Creator’s Presence in this moment.

Release:
accomplishments,
disappointments,
obligations,
attachments.

Return to the centre,
where all softens and melts into One understanding.

Hear the softened call:
“Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
(Matthew 11:28)

Succumb. Cry. Accept.
Take the hand that is offered,
and say:
Thank you.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

Gentle healer, Creator, Eternal Companion, Beloved: be with me now, as I rest in the surety of your presence and comfort.

Nothing’s gonna change my world.
Jai guru deva. Om.
जय गुरुदेव ॐ
Thank you.
Amen.

If you wish, you can listen to the song Across the Universe. This version is by Rufus Wainright.
