The Rev. Dr. Everett Briard, pictured at centre-front, has been a member of the Presbytery of Pickering since its inaugural meeting on January 7, 1990. Everett served as clerk for 17 of those years until his retirement on July 31st, 2015.
On September 15, the presbytery recognized the significant contribution Everett has made. Letters were read from past colleagues and testimonials were given by those present. By motion of the court, the honourary title of minister emeritus was granted to Rev. Dr. Everett Briard in recognition of his service to the presbytery since its formation, and of his pastoral care of congregations, elders, and clergy all for the sake of the gospel and Christ’s church.
