St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Maple, recently hosted a ‘Talk and Tour’ for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Women’s Association. The two religious communities have had a longstanding relationship, visiting back and forth, and this time there were many young people involved. Following a tour of St. Andrew’s, Rev. Robert Royal led a presentation on Christianity and the Presbyterian Church for the 40+ in attendance. The question and answer period provided a wonderful opportunity for the two faith groups to better understand each other and their mission in the community. According to Rev. Royal, and Shamaila Bajwah, outreach team member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, “We have much in common – love for God and each other.”
