St. David’s, Campbellville, Ont.

On Saturday, October 15,2016 St. David’s Presbyterian Church in Campbellville, Ont. held an haute couture fashion show. Above Serena Purdy models an authentic tweed and velvet Chanel suit. Chanel invented haute couture, and her uncompromising adherence to quality is legendary.

Samantha Dredge is dressed in a custom sweater, and a Comrags pleated skirt. Designers Judy Cornish and Joyce Gunhouse (Toronto) make up Comrags which has been described as “feminine despite themselves” and “prettiness with an edge”

Kaitlyn Dredge looks very comfortable in Catherine Regehr’s beige silk wrap dress. Catherine Regehr’s fashion-fused designs are based on one philosophy: “create elegant shapes in luxurious fabrics that you can wear over and over” (Vancouver).

Serena Purdy in a quintessential Alexander McQueen zipper dress. McQueen is truly a couturier designer who is known for designing pieces with shock value, such as the bold bustiers worn by Madonna early in her career.
