Samantha Ashton asked for an unusual birthday present this year: a full – immersion baptism. She became a member of Knox in July along with her sister Jessica and her mother and stepfather Julie and Dennis Roets, as well as Jim Weir and Muriel Heatherington. The celebration culminated in a pot – luck lunch and a butterfly – shaped birthday cake baked by Julie and displayed here by Samantha and Rev. Doug Cameron.
